beef tips over rice

Super simple with a short list of ingredients, this recipe belies the fact that this is one of the tastiest beef crockpot dishes I've ever had. It was given to me by a family friend as a going-away-to-college gift because I'd requested it a number of times when I'd had dinner at their house.



1-1.5 pounds beef (round steak works well, but another cut works, too)
1 can golden mushroom soup
1/4c water or red wine
1/2c fresh mushrooms, sliced

1. Cut meat into thin strips.
2. Place all ingredients into crockpot and cook on low about 10 hours.
3. Serve over steamed rice.
