If Solomon said there's nothing new under the sun, how can I possibly claim that these recipes are all my own doing? Well, because they are. In a world where plagiarism is nearly impossible to identify, and where there is a finite number of flour/sugar/butter combinations, I understand that the recipes on this blog may look similar to (or, let's face it, identical to) a recipe in another blog/cookbook/magazine out there.

Where I have actually used a recipe from another source, I have cited accordingly. Where I have been heavily inspired by a recipe or two while concocting my own creation, I have noted my sources of inspiration. And other than that, you can rest assured that everything you see here truly was a product of my own imagination and years worth of messing things up experimenting.

So if you see something that bears a striking resemblance to a tasty treat that you serve, don't be miffed. Instead, whip up a serving or two and bring your version over with a glass of wine, or coffee, or beer, as the occasion demands. And we'll toast to our great minds which think alike.
